I recently competed in my first Virginia Professional Photographer's Association (VPPA) convention print competition. I am very pleased with the results, and I wanted to post images that earned me the awards of Best Bridal Portrait, 2nd Place Best Pet Portrait. I also won best Wedding Album and received a National Kodak Excellence Award for the album. The album was from my Duchemin wedding. It was a wedding filled with beautiful hand made details and fantastic moments and people. You can view this wedding on my website under "Christen and Chris".
It is always nice to shoot for yourself sometimes. These were taken with the Leica M9 and 35mm f1.4 Summilux.
I honestly worked on b&w conversions for about 4 to 5 hours today. I was trying to dial in something cool. This is a coincidence that I mixed a few things together and it came out like these two. I will be using one or two of these next year. Juicy and richly toned.
