It was such a pleasure to receive a call from my college roommate about his wedding. His beautiful wife Anna enjoyed viewing my photography and wanted to bring me to New Jersey to document their unbelievable wedding. I was able to reconnect with Jamie and my buddy, Chris Stafford after sixteen years. It was great spending time with you guys. Everyone looks fantastic and nobody has changed a bit. It was great seeing Jack and Sandbridge Joe as well. The same humor and personality that drew me to this group of guys was right where we left off in college. Anna is so sweet, and I can see why Jamie waited to marry. He found the perfect woman. I want to thank everyone who made me feel like family. This beautiful event took place in Stockton, NJ at the Woolverton Inn. Here are some gems:
As many of my clients and friends know, my Grandfather passed away late last week, and I recently returned from his funeral in San Antonio, Texas. It was great seeing family that I had not seen in many years. I was particularly touched by the reading he chose to have and wanted to share it:
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Life up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.
My grandfather was a wonderful man and one heck of a bomber pilot. He always appreciated photography and was so complimentary of my work. I will miss you greatly..
Anyone who has shot an indian wedding knows how beautiful and colorful they can be. This wedding did not fall short on either. I want to thank Preeti at Spotlight Style for recommending me for this wonderful event. It is always a pleasure to work with someone who understandings the complexity of these events so well. I want to thank Tammy at Aristocratic Events and Floral Design for her beautiful work as well. It was a pleasure to photograph. Indian brides are simply stunning to look at and photograph. I want to thank Dave & Charlie for helping me out with this wedding, and beers on the Cape May Ferry on the way home was fun guys.. Here are a few from the day.
