Katie's mother booked me almost 2 years ago for her event last weekend. I journeyed up to my old stomping grounds of Northern Virginia for their wedding at Lansdowne Resort. I was able to crash at my buddy's house Friday and enjoy one of my favorite restaurants in Vienna. It was good seeing you Mark, Sallie, & family. The bride and groom are both Veterinarians and graduates of Virginia Tech. I can't even count the number of Virginia Tech garters I have photographed in the last five years, ha ha. I wish you both the best life has to offer. Here are some of my favorites:
This weekend was a marathon session of two fantastic weddings. This beautiful couple tied the knot Sunday on a family farm in Newport News. I just have to commend both families for bringing this fantastic event together. I know there were a ton of details that everyone worked hard on. Chris, the groom, made the arbor the couple stood under, the wooden coasters, and his ring. I wish I could build half of what he can. Plus, he has a Jack Daniels belt buckle. I want one too... You families were such a pleasure yesterday, and I know you both will live a wonderful life together. Here are a lot of faves:
We decided to photograph Sara & Adam's engagement session at the Historic Chamberlain Hotel. This place is a hidden gem in Hampton Roads. The hotel was recently renovated for weddings and other events. It is a very cool spot, and it becomes every nicer with a good looking couple. Here are a few. Needless to say, Adam plays guitar well.
