Carrie dropped me an e-mail and asked if I would be interested in photographing her newborn. She knows how busy weddings keep me, but I always tell my brides I will make an effort to photograph any children they have. My wife and I have plans for the launch of a portrait business down the road. It will be after she retires from teaching, but when it happens, I will certainly welcome it. I think my approach to Carrie's session blended in with my strengths. She is a fellow artist, and her child is so beautiful and funny to watch. She loves the fingers at this age, and it drew up memories of my little one. I photographed Carrie's wedding four and a half years ago, and it was so wonderful to reconnect with her. You are a lucky man Jim. Jim is a naval officer and located somewhere on a sub right now. Here are some from today.

Well, my wedding season has come to an end. What a way to go out.. Rebekah, family, friends, and I completed a beautiful bridal session at the Country Club about two months ago. She was getting ready in one of the rooms, and I walked in to introduce myself. She was adjusting her beautiful dress and birdcage veil. I knew right away we would get along. She said her theme was vintage inspired. Ok, I love a lot of things vintage. Her mother and friends welcomed me right away and made me feel right at home. Come to find out, Rebekah was the stylist that worked with one of my bride's, Stacey from three years ago. I photographed Stacey and her sister's wedding in the same year. I loved working with that family..
Rebekah was just as special. She told me the story about the feelings she had when she first saw Stacey's images from the wedding. I just love when someone researches my work and keeps up with it. Rebekah and her mother are both cancer survivors, and the strength and compassion both these women possess was truly something to behold. Luke, you are a lucky man to not only marry such a beautiful woman but to be entering into a fantastic family.
I want to send out a personal thanks to Tim and Sasha from Rothwell Photography in Harrisonburg. They are wonderful people and wise beyond their years. It was so nice to finally get to work with you guys. I hope to see you both at my seminar, and hopefully you picked up a thing or two last night.
I also just want to thank the many brides I have had a chance to work with this year. You all are so remarkable and beautiful. I so look forward to getting to know my 2009 couples. See you next year.

I am pleased to announce my new website and it looks like the DNS servers have populated for the most part. It should come up when you type my existing URL of www.davidschwartzphotography.com. It has larger images and what I think is an easier navagation experience for the end user. Here is a screenshot, and let me know what you think:
