My father passed down his first camera to me prior to my intro to photography class in high schooI. After taking my first couple images, I was hooked. I grew up in Northern Virginia, so I spent quite a bit of time photographing the inside of museums and monuments in Washington, DC. My first love was landscape photography. I spent many days and nights in a traditional darkroom watching my images come to life in Photoflo and Fixer solutions. I took art and photography classes in college but ended up with a degree in business management. After spending fifteen years attempting to climb a couple corporate ladders, I was ready to be an entrepreneur. Once my wife and I had our child, I vowed to myself that I would never again do a job I did not love. I started my photography company and have not looked back. I will say that I sometimes long for the photographic days at my friend's halfpipe or taking breakdancing images and rocking the LL Cool J and parachute pants on a sheet of cardboard.
I have met some of the most wonderful people after starting my company, and I sincerely look forward to the days when I can draw my Nikon D3 to my eye. Downloading images and applying my finishing touches in photoshop has kept me up in the wee hours of the morning. I would have it no other way. I just want to say thank you to my past and future clients for allowing me to realize what I was put on this earth to do.
